LCMA's Grading System consists of two categories. 80% of the student's grade will be from Summative Assessments. 20% will come from Formative Assessments.

Summative– 80% : This is the final assessment for any unit or chapter or the culmination of a project. This grade may be comprised of any combination of the following: tests, quizzes, projects, labs, oral or written presentations, and/or specific subject standards assessments.
Formative – 20% : Used to check for understanding in a variety of different ways leading up to a summative or final assessment. This grade may be comprised of any combination of the following: Homework, quizzes, labs, collaborative groups, oral or written responses, classwork, etc.
